You get signed up to Flow on day one, they allow us to make sure everyone is safe at work, covering health & safety, food safety and other important compliance based training. Not only that but as you develop there are job specific modules to complete that cover work in all departments.

TEAM STORIES

We take an individual approach to developing our people and know that for every person who wants to climb the management ladder, there is another person who just wants to be the best bartender or housekeeper they can be. As a company we have lots of friends in all kinds places who can help with that too.

If you read through some of our team stories below you will see that each of them took a different path to achieve their goals. We are very proud of all their achievements and we are a better business because of them.

Jess undertook a day release business management degree at Chichester Uni. We helped her by allowing the time to do it and letting her use one of the hotels as guinea pig for her assignments. She graduated with first class honours.

Jacquie as well as being GM at the white swan has a passion for people development, we helped her develop her skills by funding a CIPD qualification and asking her to head up the development of our training academy.

Zoe started work as a kitchen assistant at The Potters Heron in 2013, using HIT she worked through her NVQ’s, applied herself at work and kept learning. She is now our Sous chef!

Ludo came to Pebble as a deputy manager. He worked hard, learnt new skills from those around him as well as sharing his own skills with others. After a couple of years he took the opportunity to successfully apply for the general manager position.

Joe has been with Pebble from pretty much the beginning. At first work had to fit round her young family meaning she was part time. As her family became less dependent on her, she was able to work and learn more which lead to Joe growing into the events manager role and she is going from strength to strength.

Matt started off quite happy in his role as KP, he took pride in making sure the kitchen was spick and span. Later he became more interested in learning how to cook, we started him on his NVQs. Not only is he now a chef but he is more confident and outgoing as a result.
